Dog Day Care, Boarding & Grooming
We are proud to say that between the owner Judi ( a former master groomer) and her grooming staff, we offer close to 90yrs of dog grooming experience. Good grooming is an art and experience does matter. Our groomers can groom any breed in any type of cut including show cuts, breed specific cuts and practical pet cuts. A major plus to having an experienced groomer is a decrease in nicks and cuts due to inexperience. But above all, first and foremost is the kindness and loving care that our groomers give to their clients.
What is included in a groom? Your dog will be bathed in a hypoallergenic shampoo, blow dried by hand ( no cage drying) trim nails, clean the ears, and express the anal glands and get the style of haircut you and your groomer agree on. Your pooch will leave smelling great with a bow and a cologne spritz! Just a bath without a haircut can be done also. We are experienced in de-matting, de-shedding, furminating, and fluffing. We do an amazing jobl
If your dog just needs a fluff in between grooms, it will help prevent matting and give it a nice, fluffy look, keeping the groom looking fresh and clean. We can also do a bath and tidy which will include a bath and includes trimming pads, feet, sanitary areas, and if necessary above the eyes. Our bath prices vary depending on the size of the dog and length of hair.

FAQ
Can you do custom haircuts?
How long will my dog be at All Dogs Rock?
Our groomers only work on one dog at a time. Therefore, it depends on how long it takes to do your dog. A senior may need more time and rests and a large dog with longer hair or a thicker coat would take longer. On average though , our groomers can will need an hour and a half to two hours.
Do you dry dogs in cages?
Absolutely not. All of our dogs are dried by hand. We do not have a cage in our entire facility!
How often should my dog be groomed?
The frequency depends on several factors, including your dog's coat, allergies, environment, and budget. On average, dogs should be groomed every six to eight weeks, but long-haired dogs or dogs that spend a lot of time outside may need more frequent grooming.
When should a puppy get its first grooming?
Puppies should ideally have their first grooming session about two weeks after their last set of vaccinations.
What vaccinations should my dog have before grooming?
Dogs should be up to date on their rabies vaccinations, and distemper and kennel cough vaccinations are strongly encouraged.
How much will it cost to groom my dog?
Grooming rates vary depending on the breed of your pet, the condition of his or her coat, what type of temperament the pet has and the type of services you choose. All these factors play a part in pricing, along with what type of style can be done on the dog versus what the owners want. Some owners want a longer style, but if your pet is matted this will be almost impossible and very painful for your pet to attempt to brush it out. In order to do a long style the pet has to be maintained with proper brushing in between groomings. So, without seeing the dog, and its condition of coat we can only estimate the cost to a specific range.
Do you use special shampoo?
We have a variety of shampoos. Which one we use is based upon your pet’s skin. We first bathe your pet to get all of the dirt out of the coat and then the second one will be with a hypoallergenic shampoo, oatmeal, medicated or even a blueberry depending our your specifications.
Do you tranquilize pets before grooming?
We will not tranquilize a pet in order to groom it. Our groomers are well trained in handling nervous pets and treat every pet with TLC. If a pet is too agitated or nervous to be safely bathed or groomed, our staff will not attempt to force the service on the pet. If you, as the owner feel you need to tranquilize your pet before grooming or it is suggested by the groomer, please make sure we are fully aware of when it was administered.

Why do we Rock?
Judi the owner of All Dogs Rock is a groomer herself.
Judi owned the largest dog grooming facility in Connecticut for over 18yrs. She graduated from Chicago School of Dog Grooming , has earned her Master Groomer’s license and certificate and has employed and overseen up to six groomers at time in her facilities. Although she no longer grooms herself, she knows how to choose skilled groomers who also kind and love dogs. Our groomers Amy and Akiko together have over 40 years of dog grooming experience. Each have their own unique style but their scissor skills and knowledge far surpass most groomers in the industry.
What is more important though, is their kindness to their furry friends. You can rest assure, if you have a “senior”, a puppy, or even a hard-to-handle dog, our groomers will treat them with love and patience. Amy and Akiko have both done show cuts and are both capable of doing breed specific haircuts or any style that you like! Some people like short haircuts for the summer , others just a trim . Both groomers will discuss with you what haircut you would like, any special needs your dog may have and the approximate length of time it will take them to do it.
We do not cage dry our dogs. Our dogs are all blown dry by hand. This prevents overheating and allows the groomer to access the skin and coat condition for each dog they do. Our groomers also only work on one dog at a time. Most grooms are finished within and hour and a half to two hours.
A full groom includes the haircut, the bath with hypoallergenic shampoo, ear cleaning and plucking, anal gland expression, nail trimming and a bow and cologne. You are welcome to choose “extras” from our list of Spa Services. Along with our Spa, our guests can enjoy doggie day care before or after their groom ( provided we have their updated vaccination records) !
For a grooming or package equaling $70.00 or more, let your dog enjoy some play on us! You will notice that he/she will love his spa day knowing that it includes playtime!
